W O R D S O F A C O W A R D I'm not pessimistic, I'm being realistic, why can't you see? There's not much of a difference, just a bit more distance between you and me. Now I don't like the sun on this side of the world. And I'm sorry I'm stuck in my ways my girl but I am what I am...but I won't let you walk alone... When things go bad I will turn my back and I won't stop till i've run ten miles and as the city burns I will take my turn fighting fire with deadwood and oil. Fire with deadwood and oil. Listen...can you hear those sirens call? Their voices could over-crowd the Albert Hall. Now I won't let you walk alone but in the words of a coward there's one thing I want you to do..."talk me out of it!" When things go bad I will turn my back and I won't stop till i've run ten miles and as the city burns I will take my turn fighting fire with deadwood and oil. Fire with deadwood and oil.

Tonight's the night we pack our bags and leave in ruins this malnourished land. I hate to leave my friends behind but my mama told me that things will be fine. It's you and me against the world...remember when I wrote that song for you girl? But now we're off to unfamiliar places and off to see foreign faces. Just promise my dear that tonight you won't shed a tear because tonight's the night where everything changes for the better. Born and raised without a name, I can feel myself leaving the frame of this picture imperfect world. We worked all day and spoke all night in our bed, the first of many that we will share in our lives...but now our home is gone and we have to start again... This city is where I've grown and this city is where I call home and it's all I know and it's how I met you and I miss it. Yes I do. Familiar streets are all around and I know this city better than I know myself, yes I do. Oh, the air I breathe tastes different now, I can feel my lungs grow older everyday with every breathe. It's time to move along and settle down. This city is where I've grown and this city is where I call home and it's all I know and it's how I met you and I miss it. Yes I do. I don't know if I can face the truth. I don't know at all. Give me some time. This city is where I've grown and this city is where I call home and it's all I know and it's how I met you and I miss it. Yes I do.

Lend me your heart. Lend me your heart and I will protect you. Lend me your hope. Lend me your hope and I will pray for you. Lend me a lifeline. Lend me a lifeline so I can live for you. Lend me your eyes. Lend me your eyes so I can see the world like you. Lend me your love and I will give you all, lend me your love and I won't let you fall. If you lend me your love I can't promise that you'll get it back but I'll lend you mine and we can live like that. Lend me your ears. Lend me your ears so I can listen to you. Lend me your lungs, lend me lungs and I will breathe for you. Lend me your courage, lend me your courage so I can scream at the world for making me feel so damn useless. I'm not a man...I'm just a shadow burnt on the world lingering behind. Lend me your love and I will give you all, lend me your love and I won't let you fall. If you lend me your love I can't promise that you'll get it back but I'll lend you mine and we can live like that.

God's Truth 04:59
Loneliness is a killer, happiness is a trickster. I think I'm happy but I'm not sure so please don't ask me. We cannot be alone, we're too fragile for our bones, if our fate is set in stone then I think I'll just stay home with you. Struggling to find my place in this world of heroes and villains. Oh, what am I but the dust in the skyline. If life's a lie, well it must be God's Truth. We cannot be alone, we're too fragile for our bones, if our fate is set in stone then I think I'll just stay home with you. If this is our fate then I don't, I don't want to be apart of it.

Moving to a new city is always going to be hard.
You have to start all over again; make new friends, find a job, learn the layout of the place. It's a true judge of character...will you stick with it? Or will you back out and run?

These are the most personal collection of songs I've written in my life, they truly express my emotions and feelings towards my current situation...
After living in Cambridge all my life I decided that it was time to move on. My Girlfriend was going to uni and I knew I couldn't live without her...

This E.P. is about being thrown in at the deep end and seeing how well you tread water.

Thanks to Karen for putting up with me 'singing' my lungs out whilst she's hoping for a quiet day! =P
